Now making changes to your theme is easier than ever. You can now choose from a color picker your site’s colors (page background, site border, header background, site name color, site description color, link color, and link hover color. You can also change your site’s font with a choice from eight choices.

We also added in the option to add in your links for Technorati, LinkedIn, YouTube, and StumbleUpon.

Lucidity is an easy to use, intuitive WordPress theme that is highly customizable. Lucidity offers clean lines, minimal code for fast page loads. This theme allows you create a blog or a CMS with a very simple catalog feature so you can sell or list your products or items.

In the WordPress admin:

Define your Feedburner URL without any additional plugins
Add in your analytics code (Google, Quantcast, etc) without modifying any templates
Change the page background, the page border color, the header color, the header text color, and the link colors without modifying any CSS
Add in social network icons in the header based on if you use them (example: if you have a facebook page and enter in your facebook URL – the icon will dynamically show in the header, etc
Create and manage a “catalog” for your products or items that only require you to have a snippet of javascript or html to purchase goods/services. (Works with PayPal Buy Now buttons, Topspin JS, swreg code (which is what I use), and more!
Pre-defined custom fields to easy input the product or item’s thumbnail, purchase code, and description

Creating an Online Catalog

Catalog Custom Fields

Using the power of WordPress’s built in functions, we have created an easy way to maintain your catalog online. The online catalog uses WordPress’s categories for organization and then custom functions and templates to pull everything in together.

While this is not a complete e-commerce solution – it is perfect for those who use “Buy Now” buttons from PayPal or other companies who allow you sell products with a line or two of code.

To begin – go to the “Simple Catalog” admin panel and choose the category you would like your catalog to use. (Example – I created a catalog called “Catalog”. I then wanted to organize my items (music) into sub categories so my clients could look at the items either altogether in the “Catalog” or by Music type. My sub categories are “Albums”, “EPs”, “Soundtracks”, and “Live Concerts”.

After your “Catalog” is set up – you just need to start adding items into it. There are 4 simple parts to each “catalog item”.

Post content (this is the post field you use for all WordPress posts. You can enter in text/images, etc into this text box to announce or highlight your new product. This information will show up in line with your blog posts.
Custom: Item Thumbnail: This is a custom box under the general “post” box in WordPress where you can add a URL to a thumbnail of your item. (You can upload the image within WordPress, get the URL, and paste it in this box.
Custom: Item Buy Code: This is where you will put in either your JS or HTML for a “Buy Now” button provided by PayPal, or the company that provides you with your online store.
Custom: Item Description: This is where you can put in a short description that will show up under the thumbnail and buy button.

One of my favorite artists is Grant Lee Phillips. I have been listening to him for fifteen years and think he is absolutely one of the most talented singers out there today.

Green Soundtrack

We just released our first ever soundtrack – the Green Soundtrack. This soundtrack was used in our upcoming documentary on living in the Canadian wilderness for three months in the winter. The soundtrack was inspired by the people we met on our unforgettable journey. This soundtrack is available for purchase and download now.

We just released our newest album – the Yellow Album. This album was inspired by the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine album with an industrial twist.

Social Networking Icons

The Lucidity Catalog theme makes it really easy to post links to your social networking sites. If you have an account with one of the sites in the admin – just enter in the URL to your account and others will be able to go to them any time they click on the icons in the header.

If you do not have an account with one of the social network sites – simply leave it blank and the icon and link will not appear in the header. Want additional sites? Let us know and we will add them in!
